Deidre House As avant-garde jazz goes, this is a fine example. Raw and reckless, but still executed with finesse. Favorite track: 31.

Christopher Moklebust Zorn einen ehmer üttert stem!! is an incredibly difficult album to pine down. There are moments when its notation resembles Bernard Herrmann's work on the Twilight Zone back in the 60's - but then it will venture into something much more... punk-jazz? Perhaps. There are tracks here I'm not particularly a fan of but, all in all, there's an obvious amount of musicianship presented within this album that I can't help but admire. Favorite track: Topic of Tropic of.

John Cratchley It takes a great band to stand out among the ubiquitous guitar, bass, drums configuration these days...this Swiss band does (as a new album on Cunieform suggests...check it out too).Great interplay (like 21st Century bebop?)but with visceral explosions to juice things up! I like to listen to this band in conjunction with another terrific swiss guitar (x2),bass,drum outfit called Sonar (well worth checking out too!).

about

Half way between free improvisation, hardcore jazz and brute rock, schnellertollermeier plays music without compromise. Their style defies genre boundaries with instrumental power. Their latest record „ZORN EINEN EHMER ÜTTERT STEM!!“ (Veto-Records) is little about quiet, and a lot about anger, silliness and precision and has gotten exited reviews from Switzerland and abroad. This young trio sounds like classic literature, where you have to keep on re-reading a sentence until you understand. But when you have finally understood, you understand a lot more...
